PES Testing Systems is an independent testing laboratory, specialising in mechanical, metallographic, and petrographic testing.

PES has facilities for machining specimens and performing mechanical property tests to BS, EN, DIN and ASTM standards. We house a wide range of test and analysis equipment capable of performing tests on materials and structures to the highest standards. This equipment includes tensile, impact, bend and fatigue testing devices. We have a particular strength in determining the causes of failure of exterior render in the built environment. This is achieved by petrographic analysis, adhesion testing and sepcialised laborator testing.

Metallographic studies are carried out using TEM, SEM and optical microscopes.  PES has conducted testing and analysis programmes for a wide range of coients from manufacturing, construction, mining and medical sectors.  While many of the tests conducted in the laboratory are specific to particular materials and applications, others are more general in nature.  PES Testing Systems can provide an on-site assessment of materials and structures using a wide range of field test equipment.
